What happens to what you tell the assistant

Kiwa Studio is a software and automation studio in Malta. This note covers the assistant (chatbot) on this site. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

You're talking to an AI, and then a person

The assistant is an AI. Everything you type is read by a real person at Kiwa before we come back to you. It's disclosed in the chat window, as the EU AI Act requires.

What we collect, and only if you agree

Nothing you type is stored until you tick the consent box in the chat. Until then, your messages are used only to hold the live conversation and are not written to our records.

If you tick the box, we store:

The conversation transcript;
What the assistant understood about your business (sector, the process you'd automate, rough volumes, systems, appetite);
Your name and email, if you choose to share them so we can follow up.

Why

One reason only: so a person can prepare for, and have, a useful call with you about the Digitalise Your SME grant. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train models.

How long we keep it

We keep a stored conversation for 12 months, then delete it — sooner if you ask.

Where it goes

To run the chat we use Anthropic (the AI model) and, for storage and email, Supabase and SendGrid. They process the data on our behalf. Your messages are not used to train the AI model.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@kiwastudio.com and we'll sort it. You can also complain to the Maltese data protection regulator (the IDPC).
